We could be more helpful if you identified the origin and destination airports of each leg. In some domestic markets, AA gives you up to 18 hours to connect, instead of the usual 4.
But for LIFO connections, you must take the last flight of the day into your connecting city (LI), and the first flight of the next day out of your connecting city (FO).
