How many EXPs are there? How many will there be after the merger?
Was checking in at SFO the other day and was chatting with the agent which got me curious. I did a search but the last time this came up was something like 2002, I imagine a lot has changed since then.
How many of AA's flyers are EXP? Plat? Gold? After the merger? Would love any insight.

I do however seem to remember seeing somewhere several year ago that it was thought the EXP number was about 65,000 but that could have been complete balderdash.

Its 55,271 EXP today and 32,145 CPs today, combined will make 86,819 at merge... because 597 hold EXP and CP.

My uninformed but educated guess is somewhere between 90K and 100K for the combined entity. I will bet HNL a dinner that I'm quite a bit closer than he is.
