I visited last month the AA, QF and CX business lounges. Enjoyed both QF and CX lounges, nice breakfast spread at QF and dim sum at CX. ^
AA lounge was poor re ambiance, comfort, f&b service.

Question, will I have time to visit the LHR Admirals Club? Flying 12/30 Have 1 hour 50 min connection from BA315 T3 to AA107 T5. Flying LHR to JFK. It doesn't look good from the LHR website giving me a mct of 1:30. But the wisdom of the crowd is always more informative than a website.
No bags to worry about.

Thanks

Yes you should have at least 45 minutes. Note you have the LHR terminals backwards.

Look at the bright side. If you do not have time for the AC, that means you have an efficient connection without time spent sitting and twiddling your thumbs. The LHR T3 AC is right at point where you would pass by on your way to the gate, anyway. You don't have to go way out of your way.

I have AC access (via Alaska Lounge membership) so I can access the AC at LHR, but I won't be able to access the arrivals lounge....is it possible to use the airside AC as an arrivals lounge by going directly from my DFW-LHR flight to the AC before going through LHR customs? I have an 8pm connecting flight on the same ticket so I'm technically a connecting passenger even though I plan to go into the city for the day first. I just wanted a shower and light breakfast upon arrival.

if you connecting flight is from terminal 3 it is possible. But why would you want to go thru connections security which is a mess just to go into AC?
If your connecting flight from T5 or any other terminal you won’t be able to get airside into t3

Technically yes, although it can be a pain to get back to the arrivals hall once you're airside in the AC. Although they do have new-ish signs up now for arrivals even when you're airside IIRC. I had to do this years ago, before T3 was remodeled, and it involved getting a staff member to escort me through a bunch of locked doors in order to get back to arrivals.

What is "connections security"? Do all arrivals automatically get funneled landside? Like I said, I'm just looking for a shower and light breakfast so I figured before going through customs I could walk from my arrivals gate to the AC directly....I've never been through LHR, but it sounds like that isn't possible without re-clearing security? My other option (since I also have Priority Pass) is to walk over to terminal 2 and use the Plaza Premium Arrivals Lounge.

At LHR there is security screening when changing between terminals. Inter-terminal transfers are separate from arrival customs and baggage claim. Terminals are all geographically separated and not connected airside. You follow the purple colored transfer signs and they led you to transfer busses, then on to the next terminal you need - 2,3,4,5. I suppose you could go all the way out through passport control and immigration then back around though the departures hall of the terminal you need but that's pointless to do.

Ok, so it sounds like even airside is divided into departing vs. arriving passengers....since there is no option just to stay airside in terminal 3 without going through security again, the Plaza Premium Arrivals Lounge in Terminal 2 (landside) is probably a better option. Thanks for the info.

once you travel to LHR for the first time you will see what we are talking about. Next time you would prefer not to shower for days vs reclearing security in LHR unless you absolutely have to

Yes when coming in International you are channeled directly from the arrival gate through to arrivals in every terminal. Arrivals and departures are segregated, there is no way to cross over from arrivals over unless you 1) follow the purple transfer signs and follow the security/immigrations protocols as appropriate, or 2) go all the way out through immigrations and customs and back through the departures hall. .

As you know the AA arrivals lounge in T3 is for J passengers or OWE, its not an AC, so like you said the the other option is the Plaza Premium arrivals lounge in T2 or T4. I'm primarily a *G flyer into LHR, and use the T2 PP arrivals lounge regularly when in Y, else I use the UA arrivals T2 lounge when in J. The PP T2 arrivals lounge is rarely overcrowded and is a great option. No complaints here. Small food selection for order, but its clean, modern, and like I said rarely crowded.
