Hi, I am flying AA from NRT to LAX. From what I understood, I will be arriving at the TBIT. Then, I will clear CBP and end up landside.
I will be flying business (and FWIW I am OW sapphire). Is there any arrivals lounge that I can use for a shower?
From what I read without an onward boarding pass (which I won't have) I'm pretty screwed. Am I right?

If LAX is your end destination, then you will NOT have any lounge access. If you are connecting somewhere, you can use the Admiral Club lounge in Terminal 4 or you can head over to TBIT and use OW's lounge.

While Qantas website stated that the "First Lounge" opens from 0630 to 2330, maybe I know which one is correct?

I am travelling this Thursday from SAN->LAX and then from LAX->NRT, thru Terminal 4, layover from 0730 till 1130. I am willing to make the trip from T4 to TBIT to try out the "Qantas First" lounge. I just want to make sure that it is indeed open.
The new oneworld lounge operated by Qantas (NOT a Qantas Club) fully opened 27 Dec 2014.
International Business Lounge (~400 pax)
Qantas International First Lounge (~200 pax) opens later (11:30 AM)

The Federal Inspection Facility in T4 was closed several years ago. Currently, international AA passengers arriving at LAX deplane at gates 41 or 43 in T4 and walk through the tunnel to TBIT where they clear immigration and customs.

Can someone remind what kind of AA flyers can get access to this Qantas lounge? It's been a long day and I can't remember and don't feel like searching. TIA.

emeralds get access to the first side
platinum's get access to the business side
For AA EXPs/Plats the passenger must be traveling on an international flight (South America, Asia, South Pacific, Europe, Africa, Central America, and MEX) to qualify.
QF Pub members also get access to the lounge (QF Manages the oneworld lounge in TBIT)

The oneworld lounge at TBIT uses the standard lounge access rules.

Does the NEXT flight have to be international or just one on the itinerary? I'm traveling LAX-DFW-MEX tomorrow and curious if they'll let me in as an EXP.

By "it" do you mean the checkpoint or the connector itself? If you mean checkpoint, then yes it's supposedly for arriving international pax; those originating at LAX will have to use the T4 or TBIT checkpoints.
