I am guessing the new FL is where the old AC club was? Does this mean that the old JFK FL lounge will be remodeled as the new AC club?

I took a shower at the old FL on Monday - the showers are pretty bad. Are there new showers in the new FL lounge? Or still using the old ones? I hope not.

The food in the FL lounge was pretty bad on Monday.

It was in an area that was behind the old Lounge that was unused. The new showers are fantastic. Reps told me that the full club/Lounge/dinning should be done by April. This was their first phase.

The new flagship lounge just opened for few days.
It was very spacious and elegant.
The oversize seating in the quite room felt very cozy.
The quality of the food had vastly improved especially
the herb roasted lamb chop.
Overall, high marks for the improved renovations and
innovated ideas.

Question: Are there new showers?

Or are they still using the old ones (and hopefully installing new ones)

Edit: Looked through the pictures and the ones at the end show nice, new showers. Thank goodness. How many do they have?

Is this in the space that was previously the main concourse admirals club?

Looks lovely! I'll be there tomorrow afternoon so looking forwards to seeing it in person. Definitively looks a lot fresher and brighter than it was previously.

Great pics. Much appreciated, pigx5.

Great photos, pigx5! ^

I'll be flying through next week, my first time in the new lounge. Have they opened up the stairs/elevator on the left side as you pass through security? When I was in the FL (old space, obviously) a few weeks ago they were roped off and you had to go up the stairs that are to the right and cut through the temporary Admirals Club.

Yes, it is.

Then what is in the space previously occupied by the Flagship Lounge? Or is the entire lounge now a Flagship Lounge with only 1 AC at JFK now?

It's a definitely minor point, but keep in mind, at this juncture this is actually -not- a Flagship Lounge, as the signage in the first photo shows as well ("International First Class Lounge")

Was also discussed here last week:

Earlier in the year the old AC space in the main building was closed to renovate it into the new FL. The temporary Admirals Club is in the open area above the main concourse. (When you went up the stairs/elevator to the left after security) it is the area on your right. Your back would be to it where the FL/AC check-in would have been. Previously there was nothing up there.

My understanding is that the main part of the Flagship Lounge will occupy the old Admirals Club space. The old FL space is in the process of being turned over to Flagship Dining and whilst this is being done it is being rebranded as the International First Class Lounge.

The lounge arrangements in the satellite building are unaffected.

So when all is said and done, will there still be an AC (for members and Citi card holders) in the B concourse?

The new lounge looks fantastic. Thanks for the picture!

There will still be an AC next to the FL. Still being renovated
