LOCATION: Airside beyond the Security checkpoint, Mezzanine level. Request proximity card from agent for access.
NOTE: The renovated Lounge has now reopened as the "Flagship Lounge" (having temporarily operated as "International First Class Lounge"). See below for detailed access rules. Qualifying oneworld First Class and Business Class flyers and Emerald and Sapphire members bring one guest to the Flagship Lounge.
Only qualifying AA Flagship First flyers have access to Flagship First Dining. One guest permitted for international flyers, no guest for transcon flyers.

- A oneworld First Class or Business Class international* customer departing on or connecting to or from a oneworld marketed and operated flight (as long as the next onward segment is also operated and marketed by a oneworld® airline)

Complimentary access to Flagship First Dining is only offered if you are:

- Traveling Flagship First on an American Airlines marketed and operated three-class nonstop transcontinental flight (JFK-LAX, JFK-SFO, MIA-LAX in either direction). No guests permitted. *For the purpose of Flagship Lounge access, eligible international cities include flights traveling to or from Europe, Asia, Central and South America, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico City only. All other international destinations are excluded from this benefit
**American Airlines AAdvantage Executive Platinum/Emerald/Platinum Pro/Platinum/Sapphire customers traveling on solely North American itineraries do not qualify for Flagship Lounge access. North America is defined as U.S. (including Hawaii and Alaska), Canada, Mexico (except Mexico City), Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Caribbean
Customers traveling on airline industry non-revenue tickets are not eligible for access

Stopped in on Christmas Day for a few hours. I arrived at 2:30 PM and found the lounge practically empty. It got more crowded an hour or so later but they kept the food replaced quickly.
The spread was really good:
Though I wish they had some crackers for the charcuterie plate
And the booze was good too.

Was in the Bridge this past afternoon. My usual guy in there said AA are changing from Sodexho to HMS Host at the end of March. Not sure what will change if anything because I’m sure AA’s budget dictates what ends up in the lounge. Same people should be working there.

HMS Host already operates the terminal food concessions (Starbucks, Abitinos’s Pizza, the restaurants, etc) so it might have offered AA a better deal on the contract if some facilities can be shared or co-located such as food storage, centralized kitchens, etc. but I’m just speculating...

Seems like anything JFK related these days no one on FT has a clue about. AMEX lounge no one knew a peep on for months and now this lol.

In the JFK flagship lounge for the first time - I have visited LAX/ORD and compared to these two I felt this lounge is slightly underwhelming. The two things I immediately noticed is the champagne isn't as nice and the food spread is more limited.
I definitely will check out the bridge when it starts to get crowded here.

Haha we were just at the bridge. I don’t know what is going on with the cocktail but we had the same issue however we walked down to the small bar section down the corridor and they whipped up the cocktail for us. Enjoying the Red Hook at the moment.
