Credit card benefits on codeshare flights purchased on AA.com
I am a current holder of the US Airway Barclaycard. I am looking into booking an Alaska Airlines operated flight, is there any advantage to booking the flight through American's website over Alaska's website?
And if I use my US Airway Barclaycard to purchase the ticket through American's website, will I get any of the credit card benefits? Will I get double miles per $ when paying with the US Airway Barclaycard? Will I get my first checked bag free? I'm guessing the answer to these questions are no since the flight is operated by Alaska Airlines. |
You would probably get double miles, because the charge will (I think) come from AA.
Definitely no baggage benefits. The reason to consider booking through Alaska is lower change fees. |
