Notes: *Please note Admirals Club lounges in Canada, Europe, Asia, Central and South America located beyond passport control may not be accessible due to airport imposed restrictions. These include: BOG, CCS, CDG, GIG, GRU, LHR, MEX, NRT, SCL, YYZ.

● Admirals Club has reciprocity agreements for access under specified conditions to Alaska Airlines Board Room, Qantas Club, and some individual lounges (e.g. DUB, DUS, FRA, MXP, ZRH etc. Please use the Lounge Dashboard "sticky" thread to easily find the threads discussing these other airline lounge access requirements and to the master threads pertaining to specific lounges. (These do not apply to One Dap Pass holders.)

● Note: Members are able to contact Admirals Club Member Services (see below) 24 hours in advance even when not flying and request gate passes for themselves and others meeting at an Admirals Club for business purposes:

[quote]VISITING THE Admirals Club WHEN NOT FLYING

Members not flying can access Clubs when they have airside access and the airport doesn’t restrict lounge access to departing passengers.

Members can not secure a gate pass from a ticket agent.

Members can not secure a gate pass with merely "declared business purpose" for themselves and others any longer (14 Sep 2016).

Members and non-members can schedule and attend business meetings in the Admirals Club® or Executive Center without traveling if they have rented a conference room in a Club with such and are registered on the daily meeting list. See below.

This requires arrangements at least 24 hours in advance.

FAQ link including a Club access.

Q. I am a member and would like to meet someone at the airport, but I'm not flying today. Can I get through Security to get to the Admirals Club lounge?

A: No. Only those registered in advance and attending a conference in a rented conference room may have access. Casual access / walking up to the ticket counter to request a gate pass is not permitted; please do not put employees in an uncomfortable position by asking.

To do so you must :
  • Present a valid government I.D.
  • Have your name on the daily meeting list
To add names of those attending an event in a rented conference room to the daily meeting list, call at least 24 hours in advance:
  • Admirals Club number/AAdvantage® number
  • Legal name as it appears on government issued identification for each individual
  • Birth dates, including year, for each individual (maximum of two guests allowed for non-conference room meeting)*
  • Location, date and time of non-conference room meeting
We will arrange for Security clearance with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to allow you to get to the lounge. This opportunity is available for Admirals Club members only (and their authorized guests), and you will be required to show your Admirals Club membership card, along with a government-issued photo ID.

*(Times corrected to current service center hours)

Q. CAN I PUR HASE A FULLY REFUNDABLE AA TICKET FOR ACCESS?

It's honestly not a good idea, as this practice is specifically prohibited by American Airlines' Conditions of Carriage (Link):

American specifically prohibits practices commonly known as:

...Fraudulent, fictitious and abusive bookings: Fraudulent, fictitious and/or abusive bookings are prohibited. These types of bookings are defined as ... or to gain access to airport facilities....

Executive Card - additional information: As one Club employee posted on millionmilesecrets:

"* Here are the rules…I work at the Club

1. Only the primary card holder is a member. Note the word member... The member is allowed to bring in 2 guests Or immediate family which cannot exceed 2 people over 18 and all children under 18. For example John cannot bring in his wife, his 2 daughters and their husbands. He can bring in 2. If his daughters are under 18 they do not count toward the guest count of 2...

NOTE: Please read this wiki thoroughly to see the recent changes allowing access to authorized users / secondary or ancillary card holders.

2. Our computers tell us if one is an authorized user. (Your AAdvantage number and if you are a cardholder in good standing - jd.)

3. Choice of airline doesn’t matter (as long as you have airside access). You can fly anyone and access the Club. We might not be able to help you with your ticketing but you can come in to charge your phone or computer… or even use ours, all the while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine or well drink".

Apples and oranges. The MIA Premium Lounge is not an Admirals Club. They have their own rules for admittance of Admirals Club members.

Ah, I mis-read the post. I thought it was about AC, not the Lounge

Yes, the question is in regard to the AA, BA, IB premium lounge in terminal E, so not an admirals club per se

I believe you can enter this lounge with a guest as long as you are flying from a gate in terminal E.

Looking for some advice on credit card strategies going forward.

Currently I am a holder of both the Barclays MasterCard and the AA Visa. Renewal on both cards is coming up shortly and my club renewal shortly after that.

I am thinking of canceling both the Barclays and the AA visa to avoid the yearly fee. Will Citi approve a Citi Advantage Executive 1-2 months after closing the AA Visa card So I can get the mileage bonus and my club renewal in one shot? I have no other accounts with Citi.

Entering club without new Exec Card

Got approved for the Exec card on the phone last week, but won't have it in time for upcoming trip this week. Will be in numerous airports and would love to be able to access the clubs. Am I considered an official Admirals Club member before I have the card ? Has anyone entered the club successfully without the Exec card in hand ?

Citi AAdvantage / Executive World Elite card – AC, benefits, questions (consolidated)

Should be able to lookup by AAdvantage number. I entered without card and just boarding pass.

Quicker if you have card.

My statement closed on 11/28 in which I met the $40K. Let the countdown begin for the 10K EQM. I am at +90K EQM, this will take me to EXP.

You can't get in without the card, in my experience. But, also in my experience, you can call and ask/beg them to expedite delivery of your card. They overnighted it for free when I explained I was leaving the country in 3 days (which was true...I wasn't trying any shenanigans).

As long as your membership has been activated, (its tied to your FF#) you don't need the card. I just show my boarding pass and it has never been an issue.

New RMA Chart (12/1) Posted. Missing Cities?

New chart with Feb/Mar 2015 destinations. Added Dec and/or Jan to several cities, as well as adding a few new cities, including MKE in Dec, which gives me a new way to get home if I need to do an open jaw (e.g. ORD-XXX/YYY-MKE).

This is the first time I've kept a copy of the old chart (OCT '14 - JAN '15) and compared the overlap. I noticed many cities (e.g. BWI, CLT), or eligible months (e.g. ATL in Dec, YYC in Jan) on the old chart were not on the new chart. Is it possible these are mistakes? I'll check the chart in a couple of days to see if anything changes (back).

My year on this card is about up, and I think I'm going to cancel it to avoid paying the annual fee again (I'm not traveling on AA enough to justify the cost for AC access). Any recent experience on how far ahead of the fee I need to call and cancel? Can I wait until the fee shows on the statement, and then call them and immediately cancel and get it credited? I have one more trip on which I'd like to use the AC, so I want to keep it a bit longer if I can...

My experience matches ellinj's -- I've not had a problem getting in with just my boarding pass when flying AA since shortly after I got the card That wasn't set up yet for a little while in late 2011, back when there was still some uncertainty if this was a real Admirals club membership or just "access" but it's been clarified for years now.

The one time I used the Admiral's club when departing Virgin America out of SFO, I did have give them my Citi card, which they swiped.

There was a trick described up-thread to check if your membership was processed already -- if you go to the Admirals club membership page ( http://www.aa.com/i18n/travelInforma...Membership.jsp ) , and try to join via the JOIN NOW button, after you sign in it will show you that you are a member, what mine shows is:

Code:
Membership Type
 		Membership Type:	Self
Membership Duration:	1-Year Citi AADV Exec CC Membership
If it shows that there on your frequent flier account, you're good to go.
