Perhaps the fare rules are satisfied by MIA-LAX(777)-SFO?

Not sure if it's just a one-off, but on May 29 I see AA 1295, a 777-200 from DFW-ORD.

Didn't see this listed in the wiki yet--looks like as of 2 June, the 788 Dreamliner will have a daily flight between LAX and ORD. I think that would be the longest domestic Dreamliner flight on AA so far. As someone who was seriously bummed when they dropped the 763 from that route, I'm very excited.
. . . and, yes, I just saw it was already posted in another thread.

I noticed a 2-class 772 on AA130 ORD-JFK beginning June 15. It remains a 772 daily through July 4 before reverting to a 738 on July 5. (However, I am not sure how far out the schedule is locked to it's possible that the schedule from July 5 onward is still the placeholder schedule).
Looks like the JFK-ORD half of the turn is AA2296.

Does anyone know what the reasoning behind this route in particular was? My flights were somewhat full, but I had two window seats to myself both ways, and that was the case for more than 1 person on the flights, so the load factor couldn't have been more than 80 percent. That said, I was pretty stoked to have the opportunity — the 332 is a great aircraft and was extremely comfortable for a 1 1/2 hour flight.

Some European destinations are seasonal - flown in the summer only. If a summer seasonal flight is an A332, then where does that plane go in the off-season? Park it in ROW for a few months? Nope. Fly the plane on heavily traveled domestic routes (and routes to the Caribbean) during the winter. That way, the airline still generates revenue with the expensive asset (widebody plane) and doesn't have to furlough pilots. No airline wants to park planes for several months each year and pay the widebody pilots to sit at home (that's very expensive). Might as well make the employees work for their pay and get some revenue from the plane.
Other reasons can involve efficient routings to minimize ground sit time of the widebody planes.
IME, AA has always had some widebody domestic flights, with more of them in the winter than the summer (when they are flying those summer seasonal international flights).

Yup! I flew BOS-CLT on 2/27 on 332 N290AY and CLT-BOS on 3/1 on 332 N292AY.

An A330-200 operated flight 743 from PHL to ORD last night, positioning for the ORD-DUB flight today. Not sure if this will become a daily occurrence or if this was a one-off to get the service started, but seemingly a first, especially for LUS widebody equipment. Registration was N282AY.

AA2452 ORD-LAX coming from JFK is a 77w on 9/6.. any insight if these one off's will actually stick? considering booking this over gambling the JFK-LAX upgrade.
Now thinking about it, it must be for the inaugural LAX-HKG flight 3 hours after landing.

I think I read somewhere that it had to do with AA needing a place to RON a widebody somewhere (not enough space in CLT) so they chose BOS because of the route profile and volume demand. Notice the flight was late out of CLT and early departure the next morning from BOS so could make sense if true.
OK, airlines.net -> Remain Over Night. But, still, folks, please try to be more explicit. Please?

There seems to be an uptick in warm weather routes and then cuts in business routes. On 12/26 PHL-BOS is down to 6x and ORD is 7x. But PHL-MIA is 2x 332 and 1x 763 and PHL-MCO is 4x 332
