American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)

"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez, for AA)

ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (those who spend upwards of US$50k a year on travel with AA).

Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding; assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. As of 2014, and there seem to be no major changes reported for 2015.

ConciergeKey members receive AAdvantage Executive Platinum status, membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership. (From our FlyerGuide AA Wiki page)

Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.

Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

Maybe a lot of $1800+ r/t LGA-DFW flights in coach (M fare, lowest avail within 3 days and no Sat stay)? I mean it would take ~35 of them to hit 100k EQPs. Someone who does it bi-weekly would earn only ~73k EQM/Ps but spend over $45k.

Obviously that person could be planning better, but you can see the idea.

Back to the lowly EXP line for me...
If it makes you feel better, I'm way ahead of you in spend, DFW based (a few gate agents know me as I approach the gate - how sad is that?), all domestic and not CK. Not sure what it would do for me anyway - AA already takes pretty good care of me as a lowly EXP.

I haven't received a notice of my EXP requalification yet either even though it happened months ago. I don't need a card or more bag tags but I'd sure like the peace of mind that AA knows I'm still EXP for another year.

At AA.COM, the "countdown" for EQM/EQP/SEG should have shown you reached "zero" for one of these.
I crossed 100K in early Dec. and spoke with CS after waiting 2 1/2 weeks--they said 5-8 weeks (last year it was much less...a week(?)). In another thread here, which I started, about not receiving my new credentials, one poster said that nothing will be sent out until after 1/2014.

Someone who only flies once a year can be CK if their corporate travel department negotiates it.

Have any current or former United Global Services members successfully been matched to ConciergeKey?

CK never shows up on boarding passes, log-in status, etc. The Admirals Club will know you are CK (another perk - you get an Admirals Club membership gratis) because it says "ConciergeKey!" on their screen when they scan your boarding pass.

On one hand, I like the low-key approach - it's truly a private concierge in a sense. OTOH, I would prefer it was more like UA's GS in the sense your upgrades get prioritized (i.e. GS get priority over 1K; CK does not get prioritized over EXP). Also, I think some of the Flagship Check-ins are hit or miss (LAX in particular is mediocre).

Has anyone received CK renewal for 2014? Last year, I had the two extra SWUs deposited in my account by mid January which is when I knew I had requalified for CK. I haven't yet received those complimentary SWUs in 2014 so I wonder if I made it or if they are delaying the requalifications into February?

CK gets priority for rebooking when there are flight irregularities. When I was CK - I had a couple of flight cancellations. I was called first and was accommodated in F. On a LAX-DCA 757 cancellation, I was only one accommodated on the LAX-IAD 738 in F out of the 24 F passengers on the 757 at that time. So you do get priority, just not priority in the upgrade system.

Plus if you flight is late and your connection is tight - someone will meet you at the arrival gate (with a sign with your name) and take you by cart to the connecting gate. They call the gate and will even hold the flight a little bit until your arrive. Flagship check in and free Admiral's club are other perks. But no special access to the Flagship lounge - only standard access policies.

Ruh Roh Scooby, AA just cleaned up my SWU upgrade account within the last week, and I finally saw my deducts for JFK-GIG and GRU-JFK, but no extra SWUs. My spend and miles were slightly off from last year because I didn't have two paid Euro vacations. I still get CK when calling the dedicated number as "membership" runs through the end of February. But I have to tell you I'm nervous hearing some of the earlier comments.

For those of you who just received CK for the first time, in a few months after enjoying its benefits you will see how nice it is. I noted an earlier but recent post about early boarding - it's hit or miss. LGA is good in the morning especially if you are flying to ORD or DFW. LAX is on request and definitely nothing in the Eagles Nest. ORD is hit or miss but when they are hit, they and the LGA AC club CK staffers are tops. MIA was great in a rare appearance earlier this month, and I received a very pleasant surprise on arrival in Rio this past December when we were greeted on the jetway and assisted with our baggage, etc.

Next time you're in the AC ask the agent to check, they can see if you requalified in your AAdvantage account.

AA knows, since you have it listed in your FlyerTalk Profile...

Are you sure the AAngles can tell if you have qualified for the next year of CK? Because my understanding was that it only shows the current expiration date which in the current case is end of Feb.

I was notified of my renewal by email in early January. But I have not seen the two SWUs hit my account either. Next time I call the CK desk, I will ask. I just keep forgetting!

AA Concierge Key as of Summer 2013 (master thread)

I was notified of renewal in January as well, but no SWU as part of the renewal. Perhaps no SWU this year? Or maybe just none for me this year since I was given 4 last time around...

Yes, but as others have said, renewal emails are being sent out.
