LGA Airside Shuttle between Terminal B Concourse D (Gate D2), Terminal B Concourse C (Gate C4),
and Terminal C (Gate C39)

AA will operate entirely out of Terminal B starting December 9 2017.

Near each of the above gates is a podium staffed by personnel usually wearing blue vests / reflective clothing. They will ask for a boarding pass, but Admirals Club visit is a legitimate reason.

Speak to the employees in reflective gear near the podium in plenty of time to arrange the transfer.

There has been some variability with this shuttle service, so check in advance - and please share your experiences here. More recently:

        • AA also uses this bus to take passengers with short connection times to their gates (needs to be verified, witnessed yesterday but both were EXP)
          • If you have just missed the bus you'll have to wait approx 10 minutes

I also have not had difficulty accessing Terminal B, even though my flight was departing Terminal C, which is helpful for those wanting to use the AMEX Centurion Lounge or the Terminal B (concourse D) AC (although there is another AC at Terminal C). In my case, I went to the Centurion Lounge, then cleared security at Concourse D and took the airside shuttle over to Terminal C.

What's not clear to me is whether a passenger who is checking luggage can check in at Terminal B if their flight departs from Terminal C, or vice versa.

And it's worth reminding people of the confusing terminal designations at LGA. What New Yorkers always have called the Central Terminal is actually Terminal B, comprised of Concourses A, B, C, and D. AA operates out of Concourses C and D in Terminal B. US used to operate from Terminal C, which is a completely separate building, and AA still operates most legacy US flights out of that terminal.

LGA AA Airside Shuttle Terminal B (2 Locations) - Term C (master thread)

Tucked away in the bottom right corner of the latest Arrivals Newsletter on page 1 is a fun fact indicating there is a shuttle between US and AA at LGA. Does anyone know if this is an airside transfer? Will this now allow for AA D<>C Airside Transfers too?

Does anyone have anymore info on this service?

I don't think this is an airside shuttle. Given the context, it sounds like it was for six passengers who showed up at the wrong terminal, landside.

Just flew LGA-ORD. There was an announcement for a bus to C in the AAdmiral's Club. I have never heard that before and I'm in there weekly.

I share that conclusion. I doubt anyone would want to do an airside shuttle at LGA.

AA will on occasion with a number of connecting paxs shuttle between D and C if there is an inbound late flight and the AE flight is the last one of the evening. Or an agent will escort them across the tarmac to C but both tend to be rare. Between the CT and C Terminal, that would be new but certainly plausible going forward.

Many moons ago, when connecting at JFK (before the new terminal was even planned), a wonderfully proactive AA Gate Agent commandeered a baggage services or cleaning services panel van plus driver and sent me & companion plus a couple other pax from our delayed inbound gate from ORD across the tarmac to the about-to-depart international gate to CDG. If I recall the old terminal 8 setup, this would have required a significant walk and another pass through (pre-TSA) security.

That assistance and excellent service constituted one of the reasons I have remained loyal to AA to the current day, 15 years later.

Wow this would be wonderful news if now a regular service. It's long overdue given the hassles of transferring piers at LGA and the slow TSA process (is there now TSA PreCheck at the shuttle pier?). And with US operating out of a different terminal it would make sense to run airside shuttles like UA does at EWR between A and C terminals.

LGA Bus between Concourse D Admirals Club and Concourse C Gate 4

Hi all,

Sorry if this has already been written up.

There is now a bus service across the apron between the LGA AAdmiral's club in Concourse D and American Eagle flights in Concourse C, without need to go through Security again. I was offered this for the first time on Saturday 22nd. An agent picks you up in the club, opens all those mystery "No Trespassing" doors, and busses you across, where he repeats the procedure. It saves quite some time, especially as Concourse C has been revived with UA flights formerly operated by CO in Concourse A, causing lines at Concourse C Security.

Quite efficient. I guess it bodes bad for a vaguely announced club in Concourse C, but that makes sense as consolidating LGA AA and US gates in the future is to be expected, and I am not sure where.

No, the service is offered when the AAngels spot that you leave from Concourse C and they call someone for a given time. I was alone on a 20 pax bus but it was a weekend and my plane was practically empty.

Just tried this out. Had flight departing C gates. Arrived to LGA early so when to D checkpoint. LGA rep said I was at the wrong gates and I told her I wanted to access AC so she let me thru. Lot of foreigners in Pre line but was able to get thru in less than 10 minutes.

Asked AC agent about getting to C gates and she made a call for pickup 40 minutes prior to my departure and told me to wait by the red chairs at that time.

At the prearranged time, an older gentlemen in a safety vest came to AC and escorted me down to apron and he drove me over in a shuttle bus and then escorted me up to gate level.
