ARCHIVE: No Admirals Club @ MCO / Orlando? [coming in 2016]

I can't see Orlando listed on aa.com as having a lounge. Is this a mistake or is there no AA Lounge there?

Nope, AA's never had a lounge at MCO. I think DL is the only carrier that does that i'm aware of. Its a leisure market so really never a need to put one for AA.

No AA lounge, nor are there any lounges operated by oneworld partners.

I was about to say the same, but my bad internet ate my comment. It is a similar reason that LAS only has a UA Club.

If you're departing from MCO, best to stay landside as long as you can. Far more options for dining shopping etc then you will find once you get on the train to the concourse for departure.

UA also does unless they closed it recently. US used to have one, but it is long gone. Those are the only ones I can recall ever existing here.

But they do have Pre-Check at MCO.

But, yes, there are many AA locations without lounges. This would be the reason that they have a list.

Cheers.

Correct on investigation there is a UA club. The way MCO is set up i''d never noticed it since it's on a different pier then when I've passed threw.

N the good old days.....maybe 10 years ago there was a secret lounge.

It was at the gates and might have been called a First Class Lounge or a special Services Room.

It had comfy chairs magazines and maybe a TV.

You just had to know about it as I recall.

Several years ago, AA had an agreement with US Airways for AC members to be able to use the US Airways club at MCO. It only lasted a year or so before the agreement was terminated.

MCO airport has an amazing aquarium (outside of security). There's also an amazing artwork sculpture (also outside security) called something like "the traveler". The guy looks lifelike. He's kinda next to a Starbucks.

Although Delta has a club, it's nowhere near the AA gates.

Yep, MCO is one of those airports there are far more options pre security vs the departure tiers based on the design of the airport.

I would imagine a huge amount of minors in any MCO airport lounge. Not a place I would want to go to relax or get work done.

UA has a club, I was there in December. It's by the original UA gates not CO.
