Be sure to check the lengthy http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...elections.html and oneworld and Other Airline (Partner) Awards info, rules 2014 on threads, as many members have posted questions - and useful answers - there. See the wiki posts for informative summaries.

Also be aware - AA have reduced capacity and apparently chosen to make MileSAAver flights significantly less available during predicted periods of high demand and high demand flights, undoubtedly keeping seats available for those willing to pay higher fares and use the new tiered AAnytime awards.

Ha, I meant 2 stop (aka 3 leg). I have never a 3 stop before. Would be a good way to get my money's worth out of my Prestige before AC access goes away...

Yeah, options for the 5th look slimmer. There were only 2 1-stop options and a bunch of 2 stops. None of those work for me.

Was it a saver fare??

If so, I'd book it such a deal, says The New American Airlines

All this while the non stops have plenty of seats and will more likely than not go out with some empties. At some level I think they do this so they can increase their so called saver award availability.

For tomorrow there are 5 non-stops and 33 one-stop flights with less than 90 minutes connection, all with SAAver availability

Waiting until late in the day and complaining there aren't any great flights for the same day, then mocking AA for only giving lousy options and generalizing is to their entire program is quite disingenuous. I'm pretty sure I can find a suboptimal route offered by about every FF program in existence.

Excellent point.

I'd say the whole thing fits nicely here in any case:

If you could get a decent cash price, that'd be a great MR.

I found these the other day. Coach has routings via ORD, CLT, PHL, MIA, or JFK as well.

You have a very odd perception of "real life."

And don't try to conflate mileage runs with award ticketing. Two entirely different animals.
