Just from my own experience, I've never seen these seats available or occupied by passengers in maybe 5 TA flights over the years. The official line is always that they are used for crew rest, and I've seen a sort of curtain around them in flight a number of times.

I apologize if this has been asked but I have done an extensive search here and elsewhere online trying to find an answer, with no success.
We are flying PHL to BCN on the A330-200 and at the moment the only free seats on the sides are row 21 A,B and row 22 G,H. I know noise is always an issue with seats in front of the lavatory and I can deal with that with headphones but do these seats recline and which set would be best? I am thinking 21 because there is more space between that row and the middle set of lavatories.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Wendy

New A330-200 configuration on aa.com is whack.
Has anyone seen this?

MCE on only the right side in the front cabin, and a few rows of MCE in the rear cabin. Even weirder than the 777 PEY configuration. I understand that the people who did this probably thought it through, but at least make it symmetrical for heaven's sake! And also, what makes them think that row 28, being the 8 rows from the last row in the plane, qualifies as a preferred seat!

On a separate note, AA's decision to not install a true MCE section as part of the retrofit is very frustrating--so much for fleet consistency and elite perks, particularly on the TATLs that these planes will be flying.

I'd argue that the 789 (and the 788 when it gets a W cabin) is the most comfortable--same 2-3-2 configuration but in a wider fuselage than the 332.

Is it a coding error though? After all, wasn't there a row of seats behind Row 21 on that side before? If so, maybe that was removed to create an MCE section?

I read somewhere, I think TPG, that actual sales of PE are in effect for 1/15/18 flights. If available before then, they will be assigned as the 789 were. I have one mid Feb where I had an EF notification yesterday and noted that the computer had correctly reassigned us from 7G&H to the new bulkhead 9G&H.
