Seriously...

AA should update their terminology from "Platinum Desk" to "Platinum WorkStation", which is probably laminated particleboard with fabric covered panels.

And rather than elite levels being equated to precious metals, they should rename them to

Linoleum (GLD)
Formica (PLT)
Corian (EXP)

to reflect the current state of air travel.
