Did AA once have PHL-BOS flights?
I remember flying RT for $86 in 2003 I think, and am wondering why it so much more expensive now (300ish ?).
|
Yes they did. AA also flew to JFK and RDU from PHL.

Yes, Eagle used to fly BOS-PHL.
As for the price difference, many things were cheaper in the past than they are now. I'm not sure why anyone would expect prices to stay static for 6 years. Also, how many date/time ranges have you checked? Are they all in the $300 range, or only the particular time you want to fly? Cheers. |

At one point, a person could buy a Hershey's Bar at Woolworths for five cents. Why does it cost a buck now? |

What is "Woolworths"? AE used to fly PHL to DCA as well-that ended over a decade ago. |

Eagle did a major retrenchment at BOS a few years ago and cut a lot of flights. That's life. (But it's also good not to have to go wandering out to the Amelia Earhart Terminal any more.) AA flights PHL-BOS mean a change at LGA and a segment on US now. At which point you have to seriously consider either another airline or Acela.
If you want to fly more cheaply, use MHT or PVD instead. You can get $120 roundtrips on US or WN from PHL. |

PHL AE was droped from BOS when DL Comair started or maybe it was FL (who now does not fly the route). I forget. AA also use to do BOS-DCA on mainline. AE also use to do BWI with AE and stoped when FL started. How about Kressge or Grants for the 5 cents bars at the five and dimes. |
Back in the day, new Corvettes were about three grand. Good times.

There are actually some threads on the US forum about BOS-PHL pricing (being that they're non only nonstop provider). Check this out:
