AA credit card - best signup bonus?

Seems like every week I receive an AA Citi credit card offer in the mail, with a 25K signup bonus. I have been thinking about getting this card but haven't gotten around to it.

I recently received an offer with a 30K signup bonus. I'm wondering - what's the biggest signup bonus I can get? Is 30K pretty good, or should I wait around for a higher offer? Or is there a better offer out there that you guys know about?

Thanks.

30k is about as good as it gets. Normally the bonus ranges from 20k-25k. There was some kind of 40k bonus a while ago, but that was probably some kind of anniversary promotion.

If you have 30k, I would advise that you take it now, especially since AA cards can be churned.

Is the 30k offer available publicly, or is it targeted?

I continually get the 25K offer while Mr. Zipadee continually gets the 30K offer. Is there any way if I call to get the 30K or am I whistling Dixie?

I got the 30k letter the other day, and I have no credit history to speak of save for my bank accounts in good standing.

I thought it was supposed to be more difficult to get credit cards these days...

One problem with the 30K offer is that the annual fee is $85 and the first year IS NOT waived. On the 25K offer, the first year is free.

$85 for 5K miles is, in my opinion, very expensive.

The 40k offer was a multi-part offer:
1. Activate a new card and spend $750 in 3 months = 20k miles
2. Spend $10k in the first year = +10k miles
3. Spend $10k in the second year = +10k miles

The annual fee for the first year was waived. I spent close to $30,000 on the card in the first year, and they wouldn't do anything on the annual fee this year, so I canceled it and won't have the opportunity to earn the last chunk of 10,000 miles.

You don't have a link that takes you to the step before the 'application page' ?

As this link goes directly to the application there are no details of the offer. Nowhere in this link does it say anything about 30K bonus points (or any for that matter).

At any rate, if some one does have the link, please post. Thanks.

I keep seeing that. How often are people churning them?
