Welcome to the AA Forum, adventuressa!
Please take some time to review the Stickies at the top of the forum. There, you will find some important resources for navigating the voluminous information already in this forum. By searching for and posting to existing threads, you can help us reduce the number of redundant threads in the forum (and make things a bit easier for your volunteer moderators. ).
In this case, be sure to check out this FAQ entry:
• Does anyone have a discount or promotion code?
There you'll find a link to this thread on Enrollment / Signup Bonuses, into which your thread has now been merged.
Enjoy!

The HIS10 code appears to still be working (in as much as the site tells you that you have successfully signed up using the 'HIS10' promotion code).
Needed to sign my youngest daughter up because part of a compensation for a canceled flight (mechanical problem) was every one on my itinerary was to get 15,000 miles. The youngest one didn't have an AAdvantage account since she was a lap infant anyway, but, CSR told me to sign her up and they'd apply the miles for her as well.

El Espanol site says 'HIS10' is good thru March 2011 for 1,000 bonus miles at first sign up!

Confirmed that the HIS10 code is still valid. Rep confirms that 1000 points will post in 6-8 weeks.
