763s on LHR-BOS/DFW/RDU this winter

American Airlines will transfer more 772 capacity to Miami-South America this winter - including 2-class 772 service on MIA-BOG.

Partly as a result, all RDU/BOS-LHR service and one of the DFW-LHR flights will be 763s.

2 class 772 Service? Are they going to sell J and Y and then let the elites select F seats (at a J price)?

I do not know if it will be that or putting elites/full Y in the J cabin.

The flight is not bookable yet, but the Bogota-based flight attendents are being trained for the 772 in preparation of the service.

What 2-class 772s would those be? None are documented.

The planes aren't actually two-class. As with ORD-DFW, they are sold as two-class service.

Care to post your source?

I ask because I think you're info is dated. The 2nd flights b/w DFW-LHR flights got switched to 772 from 763 over a month ago. I know b/c I'm flying this route 3+x this fall/winter and have seen the equipment changes.

If both AA 108/109 and 155/156 (BOS-LHR) become 772s, I unfortunately can't fly AA anymore between BOS and LHR (90% of my travel)... This is a huge shame; the lack of an F cabin, the lack of PTVs in Y (the two classes I fly, for some reason never J) will force me to switch to either BA or VS...

Sounds like problems you can solve/accept if you are interested in doing so.

The OP has a long history of posting accurate information, sure he's missed the mark a few times, but overall he's been very accurate.

Schedule changes for the fall and winter are being loaded this weekend. I'd check your flights Monday and see what if anything has changed. Don't be surprised to see a 763 back on the route.

Is it really that difficult for you go to AA.COM and look at the winter schedule changes effective 02NOV08? Or do you really think I make up these things for fun?

You mean just like is it really difficult to post the link to that page on aa.com in your original post, so more than one poster doesn't wonder if your post is in fact: truth.

If its changed, so be it. My point was just that it DFW-LHR service has already changed from a 763 to 777, so to go back would be very odd. To start a new thread with no info on how you came up with that information causes people like me to ask those questions.

I may be wrong, but don't they get loaded Saturday morning? I checked flight schedules for dec/jan on AA.com before my post and they still show 772 service on both flights to/from DFW-LHR.

Actually, considering that one can't post a direct link to a schedule search, yes, it is that difficult.

Though the reservation engine on AA.com isn't reflecting the change yet. The flight affected is AA 78/79.

Ok, I understand what you are saying now. I checked the reservation engine before my post, and it was still showing 772 service for both flights in Dec/Jan, so that's why I asked for your source. Your response led me to believe that there was a news release on AA.com of some sort.

Flight 78/79 was in fact the original 763 I saw a few months ago. Thanks for the update. Luckily, I'm booked in J on the other.
