Talking How to use a voucher under other ppl's name?

I did search the forum but didn't find any post concerns my question.

1 Can I pay the AA award travel tax using the vocher which is under other ppl's name?

2 The vocher is worth 400 USD [and I have no idea which type of it, bumper? transportation? any difference.] Last time the tax is 70 USD. My question is, the AA will issue a new voucher to me, but can this voucher under my name?

Thanks a lot

Regards

1. Welcome to Flyer Talk!
2. Just mail it in, it will work fine.
3. The remainder voucher will be in your name.

Not so fast on the Voucher advice

Don't even bother. This is one time when vouchers cannot be used for air travel

Vouchers may not be used for the following items:

On free tickets only - taxes, immigration fee, passenger facility charges (PFCs), security fee

Thanks

Just called AA to make sure

1 no voucher for reward ticket
2 the reissued voucher will have the original name on it.

I am not sure if 2 is YMMV, however, pretty sad on this : (

#2 is interesting because just yesterday I used a voucher in my name to buy an international infant ticket for a friend, at the airport ticket counter. I didn't notice until this morning that the residual voucher is in the name of the infant! I assumed it would be in my name since it was mine to begin with. I don't expect I'll have any trouble using it later since I know most of the people that work the counter here, but otherwise it could be a problem, especially since the new "owner on record" of the voucher is a 3 month old.
