CO to *A, with UA codeshare etc. - impact on AA

I was checking ITA today for a flight and CO flights are appearing as UA codeshares. TPA-MIA

I don't think that necessarily has anything to do with the alliance. Codeshare deals outside of an alliance (and also with competing alliances) happen all the time. For example, I believe there are CO codeshares on AA metal (Eagle) on west coast flights.
