AS Standby

Flying an AA codeshare on AS, if you go standby on AS will you automatically lose EQMs if it defaults to AS flight numbers?

Absolutely not. You get AA EQMs on all Alaska flights, even if it's an AS flight number.

Oddly enough, aa.com says that AS flights will earn AA Q-miles when coded as AS flights -- so the answer is no.

But for me, the flights almost never post automatically

As others have said, AS is an EQM carrier, so no. But the last three times I flew AS/QX and changed my flight the flights did not post automatically. It required a note to AAdv Cust Svc, which is not as nice as having them just show up.

And of course, status on AA does not improve your position on the AS standby list. They take care of their own.
