March 18 - DFW Weather

My flight to SLC was canceled, so I went home and I'll try again tomorrow. The thunderstorms are throwing some wicked curves at DFW today so a weather thread seems in order.

I have a BOS-JFK eagle flight in 90 minutes. How will this be affected?

The LimoLiner BOS-midtown was delayed an hour, but I believe it was a mechanical.

I'm sitting here waiting for my LAX-BNA, but all LAX-DFW flights for the remainder of the day were cancelled. Yuck.

WFAA is also reporting that AA has had reservations systems problems today. They are reporting DFW officials saying most flights will be cancelled today.

Can we just get a sticky for DFW weather and keep it all in one spot? Seems every week there is a new thread on the weather.

Just heard from AA on the radio they cancelled all their flights for today in and out of DFW. My guess is the planes are all over the place and it screwed up their system. The weather still sucks here.

Take a look at flightstats.com for DFW. It looks ugly.

Not knowing about this, I just called to make a change to an upcoming upgrade request. Automated system told me the wait was 16 minutes, longest I've experienced on the PLT line. I hung up and will call again after the crisis is over.

Looks like they are still trying to get DFW-HNL and DFW-OGG - they each show delayed until 1:30 or 1:40...

I go to Maui on April 12, and am praying for a sunny day as I leave DFW...

I have a coworker with his family on the Maui flight. They hurried to close the doors with only 80 people on board and mentioned they weren't waiting for connecting passengers. I guess there might have been something to do with allowing them to leave later if they already had the doors closed. They're currently sitting on the plane at the gate.
