They can use their miles to upgrade B fares.

Not a bad way to push your lifetime mileage up especially if you're close to 1MM or 2MM.

Essentially 1c/mile and you could bounce the miles back and forth, so for US$2000 + $240 transfer fees you can push two accounts up 100k (in lifetime status) assuming that you have at least 25k between the two.

Well, if are transferring 100K miles, then you have at least 25K between the 2.
You can also buy and gift up to 60K, so buying and getting gifted, you can easily get a 90K or 100K (10/1) business class ticket to Europe for a good price.

Technically, no. You don't need 100k to bounce miles back and forth.

Assuming you're at 900k lifetime miles and you only have 25k RDM in that account, you could bounce it back and forth between another account.

Do that four times, for a total cost of $250+$30 in each direction ($2000+$240 xfer), and each account will go up 100k in lifetime mileage.

So for $22.4k you could get lifetime gold for two accounts, assuming you did that for 10 years straight.
