Applying AA discount code?

I am trying to book YUP fare to Hawaii on an open jaw reservation.

LAX=Koa returning OGG=LAX.

I don't see any reason I am not getting the discount.

There is nothing in the terms and conditions that would affect this unless this is not considered a published fare.

The open jaw think also seems to kick it out. I only get the discount if it is roundtrip to the same destinations.

Is there any workarounds?

Discount says only good on AA.com so calling seems out of the question.

I have tryed the Alamo one and the entertainment book one and they seem to work(or not work) the same way.

Thanks for any insight.

AA discount codes aren't valid on open jaws. The details are here on AA.com, including:

*Round-trip travel is defined as travel from your city TO the destination, and FROM the same destination back to the city where you originated travel with no deviations.

Edited to add: the only "workaround" I would suggest would be looking at buying a one-way ticket between OGG and KOA so that you can make your AA flight a true round trip. You can usually grab a one-way for about $50-60, but that may be more than your discount is worth.

One way

The Alamo one specifically says roundtrip or one way. I'll have to go check on the entertainment code terms.

Perhaps I will have to book 2 one ways.

However it does me know good if AA has there own rules and will not let me book online.

Both work on one way tickets.

Both discount codes work for one ways and since Yup fares are lower because with a round trip it comes with both discounts.

Will we get pulled over by security because we are on a oneway ticket?

Most (all?) codes are valid on either one-way or round-trip tickets. Also from the same page I referenced before:

"Eligible travel: New reservations made on AA.com for one-way or round-trip* travel"

Not mentioned earlier b/c your trip isn't one-way, it's an open jaw, and I didn't notice that you have multiple codes.

Related question:

I want to book DFW-MIA-LAX-NRT and NRT-LAX-DFW on aa.com (need those EQPs to make EXP), but I can't pull that schedule on the round-trip search so I am being blocked from punching in a code if I use multi-city. Will the trick of calling before final ticketing to web services get that rerouted properly or will that invalidate the 5% code?

Thanks in advance.

I would say no deal. The coupons say must be used on aa.com.

I spent quite a while today looking and the promo box is only available on roundtrip bookings. Unless the routing above will come up as a schedule option on the roundtrip booking I think you will not be able to get the discount.

I happen to have 2 coupons so I can book 2 oneways. For $200 I think thats what I will do but I will revisit the issue tomorrow when I get back to buying tickets.
