AA miles vs. BA miles with transatlantic and connection

I've got a trip coming up on BA that goes ORD-LHR-LUN. I know I can't get AA miles on the ORD-LHR portion of the trip, but I can get them on the LHR-LUN portion. Is it possible to get BA miles for half the trip (ORD-LHR) and AA miles for the other half (LHR-LUN)?

Thanks.

Yes. I would recommend not putting either number in the booking and just requesting the miles after the flight though
