ROFL! But... was it whole grain ravioli?! (Sounds like an attempted recovery on a catererer misteak.)

"OK, just put the biscuit down on the tray and back away slowly; take the ravioli with you, and keep it in the open, in full sight at all times."

Actually, that sounds more like something that would happen on the DEL flights.

Nothing like a huge bowl of heavy pasta at 6:20 AM.

Maybe it was for the folks still on ORD time. I mean, ravioli at 8:20am makes so much more sense than at 6:20am.

Would have hated to be in the last row of F. "Sir, we are offering Ravioli for breakfast, would you care to join us?"

I got a chuckle as each person asked the FA to repeat the choices as she made her way towards me. "ravioli??" "Did you say ravioli?"

One guy actually had the ravioli..they gave him a bagel with cream cheese as well. I guess they wanted to remind him that "it really WAS breakfast"

Hehe .

I'm not a cereal fan & don't feel a huge need to be constrained by meal-time conventions, so I don't think I'd actually have minded the ravioli -- I'm not a big breakfast eater anyway, so I probably would have eaten only a little anyway, but it wouldn't have bothered me, though I would certainly have found it strange. And if it happened to be the butternut squash ravioli (haven't seen those in a while - are they still around?) , so much the better.

Obviously a catering error. Remember AA has no catering in SAN so everything has to be double provisioned in.

Speaking as someone who has lived in Italy before, simple pasta is a very common breakfast in the region that I was in.

I would write a humorous letter to AA asking if ravioli is now the new breakfast choice on all AM flights. If I was the FA I would have been mortified to offer the F class pasengers Ravioli.

Maybe, you should have asked them if it was stuffed with Raisin Bran?

He's not old enough. He'd still be on furlough.
