As some of us are making a last days dash for status, I wish you all well.

My plan is to get as close to 2 MM by 12/01/2011 and then fly it in the rest of the way.

Safe travels (and shopping) to all!

This AM, my Citi bonus miles posted (the 75K, now expired offer), putting me over 1M... 1,003,054, and the bell rings for another LT Gold member. Joined Aadvantage in 1989, but since I worked for AMR for over a decade, I really didn't accumulate that many miles during that time.

Thanks to FT for showing me the light in getting over the hump before the new program rules. You guys rock!

As 12/01/2011 passes and fewer of us make higher levels of status, we need to continue to work to help those along who are trying to do it with BIS miles.

I strongly expect that will be a decease in the postings on all sorts of mileage gaining plans and ideas.

AA better start throwing us some better than average bones to get us to continue doing AA credit cards, AA eshopping and AA Rewards Network. But that said, I think that many of us will look back and say that these were the Good Old Days.

For those who reached 2MM, how long after did it take for your SWU's to post. I will reach 2MM about the middle-end of November. Wish there were a way to delay the SWU postings till January, but it will probably post before the end of the year and it will be hard to get the best use out of them (Meanwhile I have 12 stickers in my account that I can never seem to use, any flight I apply for an UG, don't get them. Must be flying too many routes that are EXP heavy).

The general experience is that the postings come in about 6 to 7 business days.

Congratulations on making your goal!

Wheee! Turned over 1,000,000 this weekend.

Took 10.5 years, but I wasn't really trying the first 10 of that.

I hit 3,000,000 last week; wish I could have dragged it out until 1/12, but I'll deal with it.

Sorry if it is a silly question

Hello everyone

I have 915,000 miles. What benefit will I get ( apart from the nice lifetime golden card) if I pass the 1M threshold ?
I only fly intercontinental flights and never buy a ticket in Business nor first.

Thanks

The big question is, do you qualify for Gold each year based on these flights?

I only wish I had the CC spend that my friend does! I noticed he's posted over 150k in the past two months. Must be nice having a real business from which to run up the AA CC charges. My fake business doesn't generate near that much revenue any more. That would have really helped me along the way to LT Plat. Oh well.

Hello Joseph

The answer is no. I have long ago switched to *A.
Occasionally, my company might book me a flight segment or two in a One World company.

Thanks for your reply

Crossed over 2,000,000 AA miles today at 2,000,055 miles! I joined the AA program in August 1997 and took me 10 years to hit AALifetimeGold. Then it took 4 more years to hit AALifetimePlat. This is good!

Question: How long are the SWU's good for once they hit my account?

Thanks to everyone at FT. You guys inspired me to crank up the miles and go for AALifetimePlat!
