correct. it's something like 3% on food or gas, 2% on travel and 1% on everything else. For me, a the $40 cash back is worth more than the 2000 miles (assuming a $2k ticket). I earn enough miles through flights to satisfy my travel/upgrade needs. ymmv

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2.1; en-us; SPH-D700 Build/FROYO) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

I think I know the answer to this but ...

At one million miles you get 500 stickers if you have a US address.
At 2 million do you get VIP's or just more stickers?

Thanx!

At 2 million, you get 4 system wide upgrades, regardless of your address.

Finally 2MM

14 years in the programs, took 10 years to get 100K on AA (used to be heavy NWA / United). Then learned about MM. Heavy CC spend and another 100K BIS miles put me over. Did about 1MM this year alone. Transferred 400K in the last 4 weeks from various programs due to high stress levels over the lifetime going away - before the situation was somewhat clarified. Thanks to all who helped me gain the information I needed for 2MM! Now I need a new goal in life...

4 system wide upgrades

What exactly can the system wide upgrades be used for? Must the purchased tickets be a specific class? Thanks in advance. Trying to figuring how to get my 350,000 miles together to make whatever deadline we all may have.

Hit 1MM on 4/24...still no e-mail or packet

Here's my situation: Hit 1MM on 4/24 (via a small purchase of miles during the 30% bonus promo and all the MM program armageddon hysteria)...8 upgrades deposited 5/9....but nearly a month later still no congratulatory e-mail nor packet in the mail. I'm not opted-out of e-mails from AA so that can't be the reason. The only wrinkle I can see is that since I'm currently Plat perhaps they don't send anything out saying congrats on LT Gold?

But darn it I want those luggage tags with the 1MM insignia!

when should the evips post? I've gotten everything (about one month since passing 2 million miles) but nothing on the website indicates 4 evips.

If you go you "My Account" on aa.com, log in, then click "View My Upgrades" near the top middle of the page you should see them.

If you have 500 mile upgrades, you should see 2 sections; one for 500 mile upgrades, and one for system wide upgrades.

Maybe you are not getting a packet since you've professed your love for Southwest on FT.

"No soup for you!"
