I reached 3MM on January 4 (yes, I purposefully delayed until the New Year -- thank you, FlyerTalk!), and received this email on January 16:

"Congratulations on reaching the next Million Miler level!
As the millions add up, there are fewer members who earn this special designation. In just a few weeks you'll receive a new elite membership card that acknowledges your multi-Million Miler status - plus some other gifts we think you'll enjoy. We are gratified by your dedication and confidence in us. Thanks for your commitment to American Airlines and the AAdvantage program."

Congratulations!

(But you forgot to ask when you'll be receiving your new packet. )

Thanks, ok! I figure I'll get it when I get it. Now, when I hit 2MM, I will definitely be looking for those extra eVIPs!

So, I crossed 1MM last week of Jan. I received an email from AA on Feb 7 with the subject "Congratulations On Your AAdvantage Program Achievement". The email was a standard email for awarding AAdvantage Gold Status. Can I assume that this email I received was for 1MM Lifetime Gold Status even though, it does not say so?

If yes, when can I expect to receive the upgrades/kit? Can someone who is more knowledgable clarify it? TIA.

If yes, when can I expect to receive the upgrades/kit? BTW, my official address is outside US. The summary under my account does not list any 500-milers or eVIPs. So I am really confused as to what exactly is going on. Can someone who is more knowledgable clarify it? TIA.
q1: Yes. q2: Who knows. q3: eVIPs don't show up on AA.com (which makes them a little less "e"), but you'll get those in lieu of 500-milers because your mailing address is outside the US.

Thanks for the answers justageek.

Do I call AA to check if there are upgradese in my account? Or do I wait until the kit arrives? Thanks.

Call. They should definitely be in your account by now.
