Am I the only one that thinks this new plan could backfire even worse? I could see 100s of my friends and relatives getting knives for Christmas, mailed to them by Emmi. I find it hard to believe that the knife is cheaper than the miles, but I could be wrong.

But if 100 of my friends/family members all bought a cheese roll from me and filled out the form, they each could get one. I actually still haven't found myself a single round of cheese, but it seems like this new plan is asking for abuse if they rip off everyone that has bought the cheese.

The same website also points out that AA appears to have strict policies about the conduct of promotions. AA, after all, has an obvious business interest in the good name of AAdvantage.
I am wondering how AA will feel if people start trying to redeem a coupon which says you earn AMERICAN AIRLINES AADVANTAGE miles and are told, "no, you don't."
I strongly suggest others raise the same question and do so now before the start of business Monday morning.

Cost of AAdvantage miles is 2.2 cents + federal excise tax + processing fee - confirmed at www.orderaamiles.com. Minimum order is 250,000 miles. It appears to be a buy them as you need them setup.
