Finally, I would contend that for all certificates already entered on their site, no receipt is necessary, as those were submitted prior to Dec. 1. If, for some reason, there was a question of receiving miles for such codes previously entered, I would still argue that a receipt is not required. I have a stack of code certificates that I already entered, and for some of those (not many, but a few) I don't have a receipt. But I complied with the terms of the offer at the time I redeemed those codes, and if I don't receive the number of miles equal to the number of codes I entered, then I will take whatever action is warranted.

Well - The emmi web site and post here has really left me out as a customer.
It clearly is not right.....
Well - Its about time to file a dispute with my credit card company with the associated screen shots of thier mid term web site Terms and Conditions. There were 3 different ones now. The initial just linked to AA T&C, then a single pager on the emmi web site, and now the new one.
Lets see how the distributors feel when they are asked to give the money back. In turn I'm sure the distributors will not be too happy with Emmi either.
I'll also be contacting all the distributors I can to complain that a supplier of thier is not honoring a promotion that is clearly on the package and still being distributed and sold.
This could get really messing for Emmi and depending on how much this bothers people could severly impact how comfortable distributors and customers are at using Emmi in the future....

OMG, left this board a few days and this stuff happens?!
While I didn't buy as much as the rest of you, I still bought $100 worth of Swiss Knight cheese wheels; some of them I haven't opened them yet!! And finding these things in L.A. wasn't so easy!
Added to the fact that they weren't so clear cut on "0" or "O" from the start, they should at least give several more weeks for these things to clear! Not even an advance warning is just outrageous!
Besides, they are potentially losing customers by this. I actually love the stuff, and I was more than willing to start buying these over the Laughing Cow product. But if they aren't going to keep their end of the deal, why should I start become a loyal customer to theirs?
The consolation Swiss Army Knife sounds also pretty cheap to me. They'd better be the good Victorinox ones!!

I will say this: If they do the right thing, I will continue to buy the fondue. I tried it as a result of this offer, and would continue to buy it (and recommend it to others) if they honor the commitment they made.

Thanks for reopening...here's my 2 cents, please add/delete/critique as only you guys can!
Action Plan to Get Emmi out of the Dog House…
-Reinstate the web link until the end of the week
or
-Agree to accept certs for entry that are postmarked by end of the week (sans receipts) and give a reasonable time frame for entry/posting…obviously more than 2 weeks
-Instruct sales managers, reps, wholesalers, stores, (and
Amazon.com) to remove stickers from packages & promos from stores
-Email everyone who has submitted codes with instructions for entry/submission of remaining codes.
The types of folks attracted to this promo (and who have or will submit their email addresses) have qualities that many (especially those selling on the internet) marketers will pay a premium for: passion for travel, relative affluence/intelligence, promotional savvy and are certainly ‘early adopters/first movers’. Emmi would be wise to retain/use this list in the future as well as to share (for a fee) with other brands to offset the cost of honoring this promotion in its original entirety.

If we were all assured that mailing in the coupons would result in full credit of miles, who would not prefer to send in the coupons rather than enter the codes?
Attention Emmi, if you are reading this: If you extend the promotion date and allow redemption of coupons by mail, I will buy 2,000 more packages of Swiss Knight and donate the entire lot to charity, as I did with my previous purchase. (All of it went to feed the poor.)

Does anyone think we really have to refrigerate this cheese? I have about 50 lovely silver wedges left (all different colors on the front) that would look lovely hanging from a Christmas tree...
I noticed the expiration date is almost a year from now.

I also have purchased a large amount of cheese.
I will wait until the Emmi site is updated Monday.
However, I think the requirement of keeping the receipt is not reasonable.
I believe we will all get our miles, if the cheese was purchased prior to December 1. I spoke with Daniel a few weeks ago about the promo, and I trust him.

The folks at Albertson's said 'no' and that similar items are often displayed on the floor. I used the bulk of mine in gift baskets for clients, friends and family with the majority of them being shipped long distances. The ingredients (no soybean oils or other crud that's in most gift basket cheeses), variety and taste are much better than similar products, so I will definitely be a repeat 'bulk' customer if they honor their commitment. FWIW, I've actually been to Gruyere and was delighted to find a delicious 'portable' product to take along on trips, as well as to give to friends.

I don't think this is the way to get the offer extended.
Threaten to purchase 4000 units, which wholesale for around $8000, so they can pay AA 2 to 2.5 cents per mile, costing them $40,000 for your miles alone. Your batch would cost EMMI $32,000.
While donating the food to charity is noble, I think you are just scaring EMMI more.

What I intended by my message was that if Emmi decided to do the right thing and in addition, extended the offer both by date and by redemption method, that in return for this gracious act, I would buy 2,000 units of their product and give it to charity. (Incidentally, it would cost me more than $2.00 per unit.)
It is easy to see the positive PR value of such a gesture.
