Newbie Question

Hello All,

I'm sure this is a simple question, but I can not find the answer on here, so I thought I would ask.

I just got back from a LAX-IAD-ORD-OMA-LAX trip which was paid for with an award from my boss' AAdvantage miles. My AAdvantage number was listed on the tickets & I was wondering if I would get mileage credit...btw I am not a gold or platinum member.

No miles for anyone. The only off chance way to get some is if you were bumped or forced to change planes, and they rebooked you in a paid fare.

The previous post is 100% correct. By policy, airlines don't give miles for award travel. In RARE circumstances when you get rebooked for some reason outside of your control, occasionally "stuff happens".

That makes total sense! Thanks!

I hope IAD and OMA were both destinations on this trip or that was some circuitous route to either of them.
