Now, I have a question. Inside the new terminal D lounge, there are signs that point to a VIP room within the lounge. What/where is this lounge? I wandered off toward the back but never found anything.
I did remember seeing a door labeled Private either just before or just past the entrance to the shower complex.
Oh, also, what is the room next to the exit hallway from the Terminal A club? Was that the old entrance/check-in for the FL? I thought there was already a desk upstairs for that...

the KIN lounge is referred to as the "Business Lounge" by KIN AA staff
F/J gets you in (although as of right now, there is only J on AA out of KIN)
PLT/EXP gets you in
GLD i can't say- when i was Gold I definitely got in, but that was several years ago, and since that time the "premium" check in line now says "PLAT, EXPLAT and business" no mention of Gold
they stamp your boarding pass "LOUNGE" which lets the security person let you out of the departure lounge and into the AA lounge.
it is a small room outside of the departure lounge (basically in the concourse- you pass it when disembarking or embarking.
leather chairs, a tv, single person male and female bathrooms, coffee, fruit and snacks, bottled water and soda.
free wireless- which is good since C&W in the big departure lounge is no longer free
you also get boarded before the general boarding call- excellent for overhead space if you are not in J

Also, remember that if you have a Diners Club credit card, they have lounges for those too.
How about AA elite access to JAL lounges? Anyone have info on these?

Definitive list?
A Google search led me to what appears to be a definitive list of over 200 One World lounges (EXP & Plat in any class: "Access is available on the day of departure when the next onward flight is with a oneworld member airline.) Particularly useful, as it includes lounges that airlines like IB don't bother to list on their own web site!
The list of lounges open to AC members has already been cited.
In theory these should include everything in post #1, apart from the arrivals lounges?
I assume that F/J pax are restricted to the lounge used by their airline?

the MX lounge policy in CUN seems to have changed
previously, PLT/EXP/Business could use it, regardless of destination
now, an onward international connection is required

Please excuse me if I've missed an obvious answer to this. After reading the above, I'm wondering if I have access to the BA lounge in SEA if I'm departing on an AA domestic flight with AA plt status? Or does the onward segment have to be international or actually on BA?

Only way to access any OW lounge, as an AA Plat or EXP, is to be traveling on a non north america international trip. So, no you may not access the BA terraces lounge at SEA before your domestic aa flight.

AA Business Class Lounges - not ACs - master thread
So, this is new to me...and a search here yielded nothing. (Although I did see mention in a thread from 2002 in the South America (I think) forum).
It seems that there is a "Business Class Lounge" in AUA. It is not an AC. One must be flying business class, or be PLT or EXP. Right across from the gate, nice place to relax and have coffee/tea/soft drinks/small snacks. A search of the lounges on AA.com did not yield this information.
Are there others of these beasts?
Business Class Lounges:
AUA
Cheers.

So is this an AA operated lounge or is it contracted out? Is it just for AA passengers?

I've seen threads about these lounges in the past. There may be others in addition to AUA. Maybe someone with better search skills than me can dig them up.
