Miles for Home Depot Gift Cards
 

Just came across this. AAshopping has bonus miles on Home Depot for 3 miles per dollar spent. (Plus another 1 for your AA CC). It appears they even give you miles for gift card purchases which is a little unusual for AAshopping. Could be useful for someone who needed a few extra miles without flying. Haven't looked lately but you could probably sell the GC on ebay an recoup much of the cost.

I was about to buy $1500 of Home Depot Gift cards in odrer to get the miles. Unfortunaltely AA Adavatage eShopping page now says:

[B]AS OF JUNE 8, 2006 THE HOME DEPOT WILL NOT REWARD THE PURCHASES OF GIFT CARDS!

Yeah, because you could use Gift Cards to shop online and get more miles.

Actually, I don't think you can use HD gift cards online to get miles...although I could be wrong about that. Mine has a gazillion digit number on it, and a barcode....and that's it.
