comp AA PLT status to Elal Matmid equivalent, but credit miles to AA account

Has anyone managed this? I'd like to comp my status to be able to use the LY lounge at LHR but I don't want the LY flights to credit to the LY account, since I prefer to collect AA miles.

Advice please...

It is two separate issues. Will they comp? (You can ask). Then you can use whatever account you want when you fly. Unless the admit rules are contingent on being on a flight on the same airline that is. I have flown CO and used an AC instead as a member of the AC.

I'd love to hear whether you have any success with the comp. Sounds hard to imagine, but who knows.

Basically, it sounds like you want to use your once-in-a-lifetime comp (if you can get it) to get one-time access to the LY lounge at LHR. Not sure this is a good use of a comp. Are you connecting at LHR from the U.S.? How long is your connection? You might want to pop for the AA arrivals lounge instead. A lifetime is a long time.
