Upgrade chances to/from Dallas on a Saturday

Hi, I'm Platinum, do ok on upgrades coast to coast but to/from Dallas is very tough. I have to go from LAX/Atlanta on a Saturday, would prefer to fly AA if I have a good chance of upgrading. But if not, then I might as well fly Delta and take a nonstop.

Given it's a Saturday, do you think regular ol' Plats might have a decent shot at upgrades? Midweek, I usually figure enough ExPlats will trump me.

The date will be Apr 29, if that matters.

Which flight? I bet later in the day will be better.

Yes, DFW to any major city is poor for upgrades, at least for me. However, I have had a good % of upgrades on weekend flights from DFW to CMH. I fly the following route quite often: CMH-ORD (145 so no upgrade), ORD-LAX (frequent upgrade), LAX-DFW (NEVER!), DFW-CMH (usually get upgraded).

How often do you fly LAX-DFW on Saturday?

Sounds like I might as well fly Delta.
