the same flight into MIA shows different Y seats avail depending on which connecting flight you take after MIA

AA 459 on Mar 12 RDU to MIA shows either

F7 A7 P7 Y7 B7 H5 M3 L1 V0 K0 G0 W0 S0 N0 Q0 O0
or
F7 A7 Y3 B2 H2 K1 M1 G1 V0 W0 L0 S0 N0 Q0 O0

connecting to either BahamasAir 224 or AA 4981
the BahamasAir flight shows greater AA seats available RDU to MIA than the connection to AA/AEagle
The two connections are not the same plane, they arrive within 2 minutes of each other though

I'm trying to see if how likely bumps may be as we get closer, I know its too early, but why would they have different number of seats to sell on the flight out of RDU?

It's called yield management and overselling. It looks like BahamasAir is paying more to AA for the RDU-MIA sector than AA/Eagle is, so AA is willing to take a greater risk of overselling. Another way to look at it is that BahamasAir has a lower fare for its sector than AA/Eagle. Or their contract with AA has some other compensation clauses that cause AA to be willing to oversell for BahamasAir when they won't oversell for AA.
