FA too busy reading... what would you do?
Hi Guys!
I usualy don't post any service related posts, but this is a must... I was on a MIA-YUL flight last night. three and half hour in business.
The flight attendent dat down in her seat for the first 2 hours, afterwhich she came and asked us what would like to drink, only once. when i asked her if there is dinner on this flight, she answered no when clearly THERE WAS!
She brough dinner later to two passengers (out of 4 in business) so me and my sister just sat there with one drink. I rang the attention bell once, she came by and i asked her for a refill, she said she was out.
After serving dinner to the two passengers, she sat down again and continued reading her book until we landed.
As i headed out of the plane, i asked the pilot if they had catering trouble, he said no.
As an EXP who have flown 180000 miles so far this year and counting, this really pissed me off...
What would you do if you were me? I usualy avoid writing letters and sounding like a crying baby... but in this case, clearly, this woman needed to do her job, and if she doesnt like it, she should quit!

By the way, how old are you and your sister?

Please, please write - these are the FAs that need to go..... Think of it like this, would you want to subject another F or J pax to this FAs behavior?
Thanks.

I agree with freeupgrade on this. AA needs to be notified of the poor service that you received from this individual. In today's day and age, it's not that hard to provide a great service, even with the lack of entertainment.
MIA-YUL I'm sure there was some type of food on that 3hr flight. Then when she said that she was 'out' of a drink after only one order, that is just ridiculous.
Send in that letter and inform them of the poor service!!!

The FA lied to the OP. She said there was no food, yet two people in F got food. The FA said she was out of a drink after one serving. Did the FA go to other end of the airplane to see of there was more of the specific drink requested? No.

My first thought was that the OP should have called the FA on her bad behavior right then and there- but then I realized this isn't like most "service" businesses because if you look crossways at an FA who's already having a bad day, he/she can decide you're a safety risk and create all kinds of havoc.
Is there any way to handle this on the plane without risking being escorted off in handcuffs?

How horrid. I agree that AA needs to hear about this - there is NO acceptable reason for this to have happened.
