Arpey disgraced or embarassed? Not at all !

Chan 5 (NBC) is running teasers for 10pm news on something like..."you wont believe what AA employees have found out about their boss (Arpey)" ....stay tuned.
Big question in Big D tonight....who's sleazier...Arpey or Channel 5 for this kind of comments?

There are not a lot of things sleazier than supposed "news organizations" running teasers that mislead viewers into thinking that they have some sort of news to report. If you have news tell us, if not, shut the **** up.

Channel 5 is infatuated with AA, so I am not surprised at all - especially since this is sweeps week.

It was totally BIZARRO.
After all the negative sounding hype....the announcer even said as the story began..."Gerard Arpey may not like this report"
The report was GLOWING about Arpey's ability to communicate with labor unions. NOTHING at all like the teasers.

So.. the sleeze award goes to channel 5....by a lot. (and Blumie had it pegged)

Right, this was on the air too but the story about Arpey was separate.

As far as this Wright amendment thing, now that it is looking like it will become a done deal, the national, state and local politicians are coming out of the woodwork to "sponsor" or support the repeal. Where were these s.o.b.'s for the last 10 years?

1. What a stupid piece of fluff that so-called "interview" was.

2. Re: Wright Amedment. Too bad it will never pass Congress. It really is looong overdue and should have been repealed years ago.

Its just hysterical trhat AA expects the public to believe that all of a sudden DFW will shut down if it is repealed....)))...

By the way, Southwest actually supported the Wright Amendment until the past year or so (when they became more powerful than AA).

Well, they called it 'passionately neutral'.

They don't forget, they just do the same thing the news stations they make fun of do: twist the facts to make a more interesting story.

Don't be so sure about the Wright Amendment never passing Congress. Who would have thought two Dallas-area Congressman would introduce a bill (on May 26), The Right to Fly Act, seeking immediate repeal.
