AA miles expiration question
 

I have about 24000 miles that will expire in early April. Will AA extend the expiration date if I

1. Donate just 10$ to the national park and get 10 miles?
or
2.Donate 500 miles for Miles for Kids in need program?

You can transfer 250 miles..
 

I think the min is a 250 transfer to the air cares program (I think that's what it is called)... Just call AA and ask - the csr was helpful when I needed to do some type of transaction to keep the remaining balance.

I've never heard of a min amt that you need to do to extend the expiration. One easy way is to dine at an idine restaurant, or send someone flowers.

ANY qualifying activity will extend the miles' life for three years.
