Confliciting seat assignment messages on AA.Com
I am flying next weekend from BMI to DCA through ORD and return with my 3 year old daughter.
I was checking my seat assignments on AA.COM yesterday (I check every so often to see if any better seats are available). On the last return leg ( ORD - BMI ) it shows I have "confirmed" seat assignments 4A and 4B. However, on the top of the web page it says: Your reservation is confirmed, but you will need to obtain your seat assignment from a gate agent at the airport. Please check in at a Self-Service Check-In machine at the airport and obtain your seat assignment at the gate. So I am confused, do I have confirmed seat assignments or not? |
How odd. When I had that message it was without assigned seats being available - then later they were available. What did AA say when you called them to ask?

I haven't called them yet. At this point, I am assuming I have seat assignments. I will probably check a couple of more times and then give them a call on Monday if it still saying the same thing.

You run the risk of losing the seats you want. I'd suggest calling web services now (800-222-2377) to avoid this possibility.

I sent an email to Aa.com web services, and received a reply back within an hour (nice being platinum)
Said that Sabre is showing me with the seat assignments on the last flight. He wasn't sure why I was getting the message at the top of the page. |
