AA167 MIA-SFO - what hard product ?
 

Hi guys,

I am travelling in F on Friday morning the 7:25am departure to SFO on AA167 MIA-SFO.

Which hard product can I expect ? I know that this route despite being 6 hours long does not get the "flagship" service (whatever that is) but can I expect fully flat beds ? Or at least angled flat ? Don't tell me recliners lol. It's not a red eye but given I'm gonna need to be waking up at an ungodly hour to catch this flight, a bit of sleep would be nice.

And revenue F tickets for domestic on AA (or any US carrier?) don't come with lounge access do they ?

What kind of aircraft? (Not many will look that up for you.)

If 767-323ER / 763, angled or fully flat flat beds.

If 737-800, reclining; ditto 757.

No lounge access with any of these.

AA puts plenty of recliners on MIA-SFO vv, lucky for youhowever, AA167 is a 763, and as JDiver said:

AA167 on Friday should be the retrofitted 767 with lie flat - great seat!

Not for this route.

My 931 earlier this week (167 turns for 931) was supposed to be a new-config 767 but was equip-swapped for the old config ~6 hours prior to 167's departure. Was a bummer, especially for loss of wifi on a daytime transcon.

Do any of the 763s, retrofitted or old, have inflight WiFi?

Not as far as I know.

And according to Gogo's publicly filed data, the number of passengers that don't bother with Wi-Fi has plateaued at 93.4% (not getting any lower), so it's probably a lower priority at AA for aircraft that have a limited life left.

ExpertFlyer is showing AA167 on Friday as old configuration.

If it is part of an international itinerary I believe you do get lounge access, or if you have status in a non-AA OneWorld member I think you would get lounge access as well.

I checked EF before posting that and it showed the new config. Seems swaps on 167/931 are occurring more frequently. Bummer.

It's really cool a 767 with the new configuration is used on this route...now my question is...is this just a limited run? If I check aircrafts on future dates past May, the 767 with new biz never comes up.

I read it as "yes." F on a nonstop transcon on a 2-cabin plane qualifies. They define transcon on a 3-cabin configuration as LAX-MIA only, but not 2-class.

It certainly can't hurt to try, unless you're easily embarrassed.

You may read it as "yes", but it clearly says "no." MIA-SFO is not one of the 3 transcon routes, so it does not qualify.

Edit: on further reading, I suppose it is a bit ambiguous. But regardless, F on MIA-SFO does not grant AC access.

You're reading it incorrectly. On a two class transcon, the answer is "no".
