Questions about Incentive Travel certs.

I was wondering what kind of routing you can do with these.

Can one book a SFO-LAX-MIA-TPA RT itinerary with a FCF14, or does AA restrict itins to the most direct routing?

I don't recall any prior discussion of this question, and I tend to read pretty carefully. These Incentive certs are relatively new, at least to this board but I think new altogether.

My guess: You're definitely fine if you only want to connect in LAX. If you want a stopover at LAX, I wouldn't count on it.

Call AA and ask? Be sure to let us all know... You could ask a couple related questions (e.g. stopovers on int'l itineraries) while you're investigating.

[Edited for clarity.]

after stopovers, the most likely restriction is on total number of segments-- and you only have 3 in each direction. it sounds like a permissible routing for an A ticket to me.
