AA Gold Challenge
Hi,
I am signed up for Gold Challenge and was told at the time that I can sign up for Gold then Platinum with the 5K difference after I made Gold. I have a reservation for CLE-LGA,JFK-LHR return MR / long weekend. Since I would make Gold on this trip with 5K qualify points on the return portion, I tried to sign up for Plat Challenge yesterday and was told that I cannot sign up until after I am Gold. Anyone has feeback on this? Also would appreciate some help/suggestion in that my CLE-LHR would get me up to 4976 q points so I would not make Gold till my return trip LHR-JFK. Any ideas how I can get 25 or 500 Q points cheap from CLE before I go to London next weekend? Thanks, Mary |

I did search and do a lot of reading and the conditions seems a bit mixed so asking if anyone had personal experience with parallel or Back to Back Gold/Plat challenages and under what conditions.

I signed up for Gold & Platinum Challenges on the same day in January.

It's an interesting question, but one that is more appropriate for the American Airlines forum. Please continue to follow this discussion there.
