Late On AA 10K 3x Promo-Need to do by 1/31/04
 

Hi folks, I am new here.
I want to do the 10K miles by end of Jan on AA to get the 3x miles all year. I am close to SFO, OAK and SJC. Any recommendations of a run to get these miles would be helpful.

Questions of this type are generally better suited for the Mileage Run forum. When re-posting your question, I would suggest you list specific dates when you'd be able to fly, and posters who know of good deals would be able to advise you on the best deals.

Off the top of my head, you should look for direct flights from SFO or SJC to BOS or JFK, because AA is competing with JetBlue on those routes.

Where do you get the "all year" from? The triple miles are good only through March 2004, and not on L or N fares. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!

The 3x miles only applies for flight till the end of March not for the whole year.

Let me give you a friendly welcome to the AA board - where we do welcome questions and sharing.

There are actually two great promotions going on right now - the 3X and the Fly 2 and get a free trip. Both are well documented on this board with www.aa.com having all the necessary sign ups.

A milage run to London or Tokyo would give you the base miles for 10,000 miles to trigger the bonus until the End of March.
After the milage run - take a few trips to NYC or Boston for triple miles AND a free trip after 2 R/T. AANYC and AABOS

The biggest bang for a free trip is the SFO/JFK or BOS promotion fly twice and get a free ticket ANYWHERE AA flys
