Smile Total Miles required for Life time Platinum and Executive Platinmun

Thank you for your answers. I asked that question as I have been unable to find any information on AA website about life time status.

That is because it is an unpublished benefit. Welcome to FlyerTalk.

90,000 miles? When do you think you'll make it?

I think I am having a bad influence on you, Shoodawg; you are sounding like a lawyer.

Seriously, does anyone think that AA would actually end the AAdvantage program?

Does it look like AA would end AAdvantage? No.

But who knows what the economic situation may be in 20 or 40 or 60 years? For that matter, will AA be around as an independent airline in 20 or 40 or 60 years? Will we even still be flying airlines in 60 years, or just relying on our personal aircars, high speed hovercrafts, turbocharged segways, and molecular transporters?

Sign me up for a PLT Challenge as soon as they get the transporter perfected.

Beam me to Paris.

Actually, having just passed 1MM this past year and gotten my packet, the actual verbiage reads that I will retain lifetime gold "for the life of the Gold program." I'm sure they could change the name of the Gold program if they wanted to weasel out of it...

Two Million Miles

I am closing in on the two million miles mark - total lifetime miles. What can I expect from AA when I get there? As I recall, at one million, I received a letter saying I would be lifetime gold.

Congratulatiions!

I just made 2MM myself so I called the AAdvantage CS department. They say in 6-8 weeks you'll get a new card and new tags, lifetime PLT status and a few e-vips. (Sorry, don't remember how many; others here will know for sure.)

And to anticipate another question, no, you don't get lifetime EXP for 3MM.

That is for ONE MM.
For 2MM, everyone gets EVIPS.
Int'l means people living in countries were you can't use 500 mile upgrades
