Hmmm, I have 40k EQM, 28k EQP at the moment. EXP member, and already hadve another 40k EQM booked for the remainder of the year, and 1 First/Business award travel. I just did the passport challenge for my spouse, I wonder what her number will be. She is traveling with me in all of my trips, and has an identical AA profile as mine, except she is about 800 miles less than I, but we are booked together on our upcoming trips.

A couple of my office coworkers have created accounts for their pets. (Yes, and posts and photo updates mentioning their daily adventures.)
They have harmless fun with the idea--and they may get extra laughs seeing what marketers try to sell to the pet.

Looks like the target is based on AA flying pattern. I do not fly AA much and had just one round trip last year. My target is 1200 EQP

My goal is 2,500 EQP. No status, flew about 16K EQM last year (15K EQP). All I have booked right now is DCA-RDU and DCA-CLT-RDU so I'll need to buy a few tickets if I want the miles.

Mine was a low 1200. I have 4600 in miles booked. I'll be hitting my goal on the way to where I'm going.

This is crazy, 15,400 EQP for me. I wonder if they go in and see what you've already got booked and make your goal more than that?

Edit: I might actually make it with my booked flights, pretty unusual for me but I did make EXP based on points last year....

I don't think they look at booked flights. My goal is 6500 EQP and I already have more than that booked for the contest period. However, that number is just under 20% of my EQPs for all of last calendar year.

In short, seriously?
Back to my original post... Is charging tax for promo miles the new norm? I can't recall a time, where AA has explicitly stated that their promo miles are TAXABLE.

This si the first time I've seen this on AA, but I did pay taxes on the AA miles I was given for my Citi Account a couple of years ago.

Those were miles issued by a bank. These are issued by AA. Was this always the case? What do our resident tax experts think?
