Earn 1000 miles for signing up with AAdvantage partner offers

Just got my e-summary today, I normally just delete it as I regularly check my point balance online but this time I looked and caught this message. "Sign up for AA e-mails filled with exclusive AAdvantage partner offers and earn* 1,000 Bonus Miles!"

*One time bonus offer valid for recipients of this email only. To qualify, members must sign up for AAdvantage partner offers by 12/31/02. Bonus miles do not count toward elite status qualification.
Miles will be posted to your account within 2 to 4 weeks.

I did just that and I'm looking forward to 1000 free miles. So if you receive an e-summary, look into it.

I think I got the 1000 miles months ago for this. Is this new or the same old offer?

I didn't get any notification when I signed up two days ago, and the miles haven't posted yet. I'll give it until I get my fist SPAM from them and see...

The only notification I received was from AAdvantage customer service stating that my current preferences for each of their email programs have been updated. I am just going to wait a few weeks for the points to be posted in my account.

I threw my esummary away . . . was there a link, or can I just enter email preferences at aa.com?

Thanks!

I checked my husband's e-summary account, although he is an AA PLat, he didn't get the promotion. However, you might still try to adjust your email preferences and see what happens. Good Luck

Thanks Spencerism.

Had to dig that email out of the trash can.

The link in the mail seemed somewhat encoded. Mine looked similar to: http://esummary.info.aa.com/Key=99999.XXXX.x.99999
(Please note above link will not work. It is just a sample)

I don't remember having opted in, but the 1000-mile bonus received on Sep. 7 was a great surprise!
Maybe I opted in at the same time as I did for AAirmail??

Does anyone know if you need to be reciving e-statements to get this bonus. Also do you have to subscribe through the link or is it OK to just do it on the website?
