Anyone had success doing a roll over when using S674ML w/o a $100 fee?

Placed a costly call to the aa.com web desk from Santiago, put on a very long hold as agent contacted tariff because I had used the aforementioned code when ticketing, and finally was told a roll over could be done only via reticketing for $100 which would make the $50 roll over savings pointless.

Original e-ticket purchased on aa.com but was not a NetSAAver fare (SCL-MIA-DCA/MIA-SCL). From reading other recent posts, I have not heard anything about the need to "reticket" and pay a fee for a roll over or, as claimed by the agent, is this because I used this "code." Just need confirmation from the experience of others.

Please excuse me if this has already been answered previously.

I think you'd have to call the webservices technical support people to handle a rollover with an aa.com promo code. In the USA the number is 800 222-2377, don't know what it would be from out of country. You could ask to be transferred there from the main reservation desk perhaps. Another option would be to try email, they have contact addresses on aa.com.

I did it two weeks ago, for a ticket originating in the US, sold and ticketed in London, using the S674ML code.
I got the difference refunded and no administrative service charges were applied at all.

It was all handled by reservations in Dublin and ticketing in London.

@777Brit

Thanks, will do a walk in at the local AA CTO and see what happens.

@Gabriel

Don't know of anything big going on as Fiestas Patrias was last month.

For Santiago happenings, go to:

It is a 10% discount code, applied to the base fare, given to people who donated money to some non-profit foundation. Anyone seems to be able to use it as long as the fare is a non-web fare. You have to enter the code on aa.com's website to get the discount applied before purchasing the ticket.
